A short guide on how to get from Bangkok to Pattaya, where to stay and where to party!
Transport from Bangkok to Pattaya
If you are travelling from Bangkok to Pattaya, you can take a coach from Mo Chit bus station for 130 baht one way. The journey takes around 2 hours in one of there well air conditioned coaches. Food, drinks and bathroom facilities are available within Mo Chit bus station and also when you arrive at the other end in Pattaya. Alternatively, you can go directly to Pattaya from the main Suvarnabhumi international airport by private taxi or mini-bus. This will set you back anything between 1,000 baht to 2,800 baht depending on how many people are going.
Five 0 Hostel
The Five O hostel in Pattaya is located around 10 minutes away from walking street, the main party strip. The hostel is a stones through from the beach but far enough away from the main party street to get a good night’s rest. You can stay here for only 250 baht, the equivalent of £5-6 a night, it comes with a swimming pool, on site bar and rooftop with amazing views over Pattaya. The Five 0 hostel has been tried and tested by the Jetsetter Jobs team and received a whooping 5 star!
Sunshine Hotel Residence
If you are looking for a bit of luxury at a fraction of the cost book into the Sunshine Hostel Residence. They do a range of offers for around £20 a night and exceptionally cheap room service and mini bar services. To say this hotel is impressive is an understatement. Located on the door step of a multitude of 24hr bars, this is differently not one to miss out on.
Walking street
Its famously known as the red-light district of Thailand, however as a solo female traveler walking around by myself at night I wasn’t the least bit intimidated. This is a great place to go whether you are male or female to let your hair down. Pattaya is the next mini Vegas and ultimately super cheap! If you’re heading this way make sure you take a trip to Insomnia Club. Walking street has a host of entertaining aspects and frankly too many to list. However, below is a short clip of some of the street entertainment on offer.
