Where can you apply for working holiday visa?
In most countries the general rule is that anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 can obtain a working holiday visa. If you have any underlying history such as criminal offences, or health issues these will need to be double checked.Working holiday visas requirements are subject to change and before applying for any working holiday visas you should always do your research. Go directly to the embassy of the country you are applying for and avoid any hefty hidden costs.
Where can I work in Europe ?
At present passport holders of EU member countries do not need permission to work in each other countries, these countries are. Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia,
Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. For passport holders outside of Europe, please check with your local embassy.
Where can I work worldwide?
UK passport holders can get working holiday visas for between 1 and upto 2 years in the following countries; Australia , Canada,
China , Japan , New Zealand , Singapore ,
Taiwan , South Korea and USA. Quite recently the USA changed their rules on immigration (without telling anyone...) and it is now a requirement to have an upto date passport with Biometric chip. What can I expect from a working visa?
A working holiday visa is for the sole purpose of being able to pick up work, in order to fund your travels. If you are looking to move on a more permanent basis then it's a great way to suss everything out, before making any rash decisions. When you're on a working holiday visa most countries will process your application quicker if you're planning to apply for residential, citizenship and sponsorship visas. However, please be aware some countries such as Australia require you to make an application from outside the country, or even stay in the country. Most people use the time to have a break with a mini holiday.
